Holiday Happenings Series: Plaid for Thanksgiving

Jacket: T.J. Maxx-old / Scarf: H&M - old (similar here) / Sweater: Ralph Lauren / Pants: Old Navy (only online in limited sizes, check stores for more) / Shoes: Forever 21

This year I have had so much to be thankful for and I feel truly blessed.  I got engaged to my true love and best friend since 14 years old, I graduated law school, passed the bar and am planning a wedding in a location I love. It was a fantastic day spent at my soon to be father-in-law's house with my family and my fiance's family!  I wanted to wear something warm because snow was in the forecast (it did snow that night) but I still wanted to looked a little dressed up and festive.  These plaid pants did the trick!  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!

Holiday Happenings Series: Casual Pops of Red

It's no secret I'm obsessed with these new Winnie Wellies from Talbots!  They are so perfect for the holiday season! I've had my eyes on them for a while now and when they went on major sale at my local store I had to pick them up!  I paired them for a casual look which would be perfect for a tree lighting, parade or a low-key Thanksgiving dinner.  I hope you all enjoy this post and are looking forward to eating too much turkey! Look out for new Holiday Happenings posts very soon!

Cold in Cobalt

I picked up this coat and scarf about a week ago and have been waiting to wear it.  I absolutely love the color and don't have much in the cobalt so it's a nice pick me up for these cold days!  Hope you all enjoy the post!

On another note...keep an eye out for a holiday series coming soon! I am so excited for this because I am a holiday junkie.  I will be featuring both dressy and casual outfits for the holidays, holiday related DIYs, gift guides and more!!!

Whales & Monograms

It's become very cold over this past weekend and I think it's here to stay this time.  I knew I wanted to wear my new, absolutely adorable grey and pink monogram vest from Personalized From Me To You so I began planning my outfit!  I was able to bring out my favorite Vineyard Vines mittens and earmuffs for the second time this season as the pink whales matched the monogram perfectly.  I added a Shep Shirt and scarf and voila...the outfit was ready!  I hope you all are doing well and you enjoy this post!

Flannel and Herringbone

Hello again everyone! Happy Saturday! As you all can probably tell, I'm a fan of vests.  They add a lot of character to an outfit and keep you warm at the same time.  I like to mix flannels and plaids with my vests to come up with a warm combination.  Unfortunately, it's too cold now for me to wear this outfit without another layer (like a sweater) but I did manage to get away with it earlier this week.  I knew I had errands to run so I threw on my favorite crossbody bag and some cozy boots.  I hope you guys enjoy the different textures I tried to mix here!  I will be back soon with some exciting new posts for you all!

Red, White, Blue and Anchors

Hi everyone!  Being that yesterday was Veterans Day, I was feeling very patriotic.  I felt like the best spot to take a few pictures was in my living room, it's red, white and blue everything!  I hope you enjoy.

Fox Sweater Dress

Dress: Target (similar sweater version here) / Flannel: J. Crew (similar here) / Boots: Tory Burch (similar here on major SALE)

I want to start today by thanking all the men and women who have served our country, they are truly heroes and their bravery is immeasurable.  Happy Veteran's Day!

The weather here has been bipolar.  One day it's snowing and 35 degrees and the next it's in the 60s!  I took advantage of one of those 60 degree days this past weekend and wore by favorite sweater dress.  I bought this dress a few years back for a steal at Target (my happy place), when foxes were all the rage.  In my opinion, foxes are still the rage, I mean how cute are they?!  Anyway...I paired the dress with a flannel and riding boots for a simple look.  I didn't add accessories to this because I felt the fox and plaid had enough going on.  I hope you all enjoy!
