Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family and are enjoying all the wonderful sales today!  I have a quick post for you about how I make my stuffing and an adorable apron that I've been loving!  The apron is from a cute shop called Carolina Dandy, check them out!  It's equipped with pockets, ruffles, a bow and monogram, what more could you ask for in an apron!  It would make the perfect gift for a cook in your life! Hope you enjoy and try out the stuffing this holiday season!

Ok, so here is the recipe!

You will need:

Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Cubed Stuffing
1 stick of butter per bag of stuffing
1 can of low sodium chicken broth per bag of stuffing
1/2 large onion per bag of stuffing
About 2 celery stalks per bag
About 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning
1/2 tablespoon of fresh ground pepper
1/2 tablespoon of salt
A pinch of garlic powder

I made 2 batched of stuffing with two bags in each batch.  These directions will be based on making 2 bags at a time.

Start by finely chopping 1 large onion and 4 stalks of celery.  Melt 2 sticks of butter in a large pot and add the onion and celery to the butter.  Simmer on low to medium heat for about 10 minutes or until the veggies are tender.  Once the veggies are tender, reduce heat to low. Pour 1 bag of stuffing into the pot with 1 can of broth.  Add your seasonings. Stir thoroughly until combine.  Add the second bag of stuffing and second can of broth, stir the pot again thoroughly to make sure the veggies and spices are distributed.

At this point, I taste the stuffing and check for seasoning and consistency.  I usually feel that the stuffing needs to be mashed a bit and will do so with a potato masher.  Scoop stuffing into a baking dish and bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until the top browns a bit.  I received this recipe from a family friend and have made it quite a few times now and seems to be a hit!  I hope you all enjoy it!
